Season 4 Episode 17 Aka the Musical My Mother Would not Approve of Spoilers are in the following sections. In this episode, the cast performs songs from Hedwig and the Angry Inch . Someone is still leaving videotapes on their doorsteps. Which means a creepy person still lives in Riverdale, and the plot isn't slowing down anytime soon. Kevin can't perform a song from Hedwig  for the variety show he is organizing. Principal Honey won't let him. Kevin attends a sleepover at Betty's house, and the girls encourage him to perform as Hedwig. There's a cute song as they give him a makeover. Archie decides to sign his friends up as a band for the show. He calls them The Archies, and Jughead says, "Were the me-me-mes taken?" The students decide to stage a protest on Kevin's behalf and they all dress in drag as Hedwig. Kevin performs a song from the show in the music room. I decided to combine two episodes for this post. The plot is getting nuts! Spoilers are in the following sections. Season 4 Episode 13 Betty broke in to the "sanctum sanctorum." No Baxter Brothers contract for Jughead unless he writes a great novel by Friday. This is every writer's nightmare. Archie could close one of his businesses. This wasn't surprising to me, because he has a lot going on while being a high school senior. Veronica is struggling to come to terms with her father's illness. She decides to anger him to keep his mental strength up by competing with the rum business. I couldn't help but laugh at this line from Hiram: "You've awoken the dragon. Prepare to be eaten." Brett from Stonewall does have a tape of Jughead and Betty in their dorm room. Is he the one who was taping all of Riverdale? The following section contains spoilers. Season 4 Episode 12 I haven't been as compelled lately to review Riverdale episodes. But this one was interesting, and I think it sets up a lot for Episode 13 and even further this season. Is Brett a killer? I think he could be, but I'm pleased that he may not be Jughead's villain. I think that Brett is obviously obnoxious, which would make him a boring antagonist. It is fun to see Cole's angry side. It reminded me of his role as Cody Martin for some reason. I'm usually able to separate him from that role since it's been so long, but not this time. I thought it was ridiculous that they were fist fighting in a school, as an approved activity. I was impressed that Jughead won the fistfight. I thought it was fun that they played chess, and that  Betty and Jughead practiced in an offhand way. Every new adult character is murderous. Season 4 Episode 9 The following post contains spoilers. The plot moved extremely quickly during this episode. It was difficult to keep up. The writers are dropping clues about Jughead's book and the overall storyline of the show. Will any of the fan theories be right in the end? Only time will tell. In the beginning of this episode, Jughead's story mentions a boy in the river. Could that be Jason Blossom from season 1 (the original plot)? At first, I thought that Polly Cooper was crazy. Then, I thought that Chick was hypnotizing her. Actually, Edgar Evernever's wife was triggering her to attack "Betty", using the word tangerine. Weird! Veronica is not playing games in her ongoing fight with her father. I wish we would have seen more in the scenes between Hiram and his mother. She disapproves, but does she truly care about him? Season 4 Episode 5 The following contains spoilers. Could Betty have the "serial killer genes?" Yes, in fact, she does. I don't think we should be surprised by this. The writers love to throw her into weird situations. I liked the Baxter Brothers and Tracey Trueblood books. I understand that Riverdale  can't talk about Nancy Drew as a character since there is a Nancy Drew  show on their network. I loved the Hardy Boys books as a kid and appreciated Jughead's excitement for the Baxter Brothers. It was a nice twist that his grandfather left notes in them. A weird connection exists between Forsythe I (Jughead's grandpa) and the first ghostwriter for the Baxter Brothers series. I think maybe they were the same person. Dark Betty is back! She can't control her reactions to topics in the young FBI class. She's sneaking around on her own. How much will the writers put her through this time? We learn more about the Jones family history. Season 4 Episode 2 Though I'm quite proud of Episode 1's story line and the honor it showed Luke Perry, I will not be reviewing it. In a weird turn of events, this episode actually showed our fav teens in school. Yes, in classes and the lounge and going to football practice. Charles tells Betty to act like "a normal high schooler." I laughed out loud. How ironic! He's also requesting her to participate in an FBI investigation. Kevin is back and wants Betty's forgiveness and to be one of the gang again. I understand that the actors are in their 20s, but why does this show portray them sleeping together so much? I may be out of touch with high school culture, but no teens sleep together as much as these do. Thank you to the writers for a small mention of Betty's crush on Archie. I am a sucker for friends-to-couples story lines, and I hope they get some cute, romantic scenes by the end. The new principal Mr. Honey seems suspicious to me. What is he hidi...
