Six Underrated Disney Channel Couples

1) Louis and Tawny from Even Stevens- If you’ve never seen this adorable love confession via VHS tapes (yes, VHS tapes), then go search for it online. Though Louis flirts and acts like Tawny is his girlfriend for a lot of the time, he eventually realizes that he has deeper feelings for her, and she has them for him, too. Though they are young, this moment sticks out to me as particularly sweet and creative.

2) Phil and Keely from Phil of the Future- Another couple from early 2000s Disney, these two were best friends for a long time. They go to a dance with other people and spend the whole time trying to make each other jealous. We get one kiss from this couple during the last episode. I don't think the fact that they were "just friends" during most of the series diminished their relationship in any way. I think it added to their connection.

3) Lizzie and Gordo from Lizzie McGuire- Okay, so this couple may not count as being underrated, but I felt it was necessary to include them. Gordo has unrequited love for Lizzie for most of the series, with her crush on Ethan Craft keeping her romantic focus. However, she does show a lot of affection for him during the movie and surprises him with a kiss near the end.

4) Brady and Mikayla from Pair of Kings (Disney XD)- This is another couple where the boy has unrequited love for the girl for a long time! She puts up with his crazy antics and bravado and eventually admits that they have some chemistry.

5) Phineas and Isabella from Phineas and Ferb (Disney XD)- Isabella loves Phineas for quite some time, though she hides her feelings well. Phineas is stereotypically unaware, as some middle school boys are. He has feelings for her unexpectedly near the end of the Across the 2nd Dimension movie. These feelings are expanded in the episode "Act Your Age", set in the future, where Phineas confesses that he liked her in high school.

6) Joe and Stella from JONAS and JONAS L.A.- Okay, hear me out. I realize that the brothers did not enjoy filming most of this show, specifically season 2. However, we get the iconic Joe and Stella airport scene out of it. Joe lists ordinary things that he appreciates about Stella. Then, as a stressed Stella starts to leave, Joe tells her that he loves her.
This could be a basis for Caleb's love confession to Hanna in Pretty Little Liars. Caleb lists ways that Hanna annoys him and then says "she  won't admit they're [meant] to spend the rest of their lives together before finishing the list"(https://prettylittleliars.fandom.com/wiki/Haleb#Season%207).
Also, Joe looks good in glasses in that scene.

The Waiting, Not Dating Narrative

I was taught not to chase boys, but to wait for the "right one." I heard it from my family and some from my church as a teenager and have carried it with me into my young adult years. High School Musical Songs Ranked, Part 1

Summer vibes and the arrival of HSM the Musical the Series Season 4 in August led to this ranking. My idea was to list all of the rankings in one post, but it will be too long. Songs are from the original trilogy. I'm starting at the bottom, and these songs are in no particular order. Sunday School Musical tier (yes, this exists)- Humuhumu song- originally only on the extended version of HSM 2, but now included on Disney+ *stuck in your head for days When There was Me and You- 3rd in Gabriella's solo songs. An impressive showcase of Vanessa's voice, but not the best in comparison. High School Musical (who says we have to let it go)- I understand the appeal of this being one of the few "musical style" songs in the trilogy, but I don't enjoy it.

Review of Riverdale "The Ides of March" and "How to Get Away with Murder"

I decided to combine two episodes for this post. The plot is getting nuts! Spoilers are in the following sections. Season 4 Episode 13 Betty broke in to the "sanctum sanctorum." No Baxter Brothers contract for Jughead unless he writes a great novel by Friday. This is every writer's nightmare. Archie could close one of his businesses. This wasn't surprising to me, because he has a lot going on while being a high school senior. Veronica is struggling to come to terms with her father's illness. She decides to anger him to keep his mental strength up by competing with the rum business. I couldn't help but laugh at this line from Hiram: "You've awoken the dragon. Prepare to be eaten." Brett from Stonewall does have a tape of Jughead and Betty in their dorm room. Is he the one who was taping all of Riverdale? Singleness and Women's Ministry

It's hard to be single. I guess it could be worse. I'm in my 20s and am not yet considered a spinster. I can still attend young adult groups at church without getting weird looks. But what if I continue to be single into my 30s and beyond? How could that affect my relationship with the church?
