Review of Harry Styles' Sign of the Times

I heard that Harry was making an album, and I was excited. As I'd read online, I suspected every song would have a rock focus, since he enjoys old rock songs. I was pleasantly surprised by "Sign of the Times." It had strong vocals but also tender moments. I thought that it was too long. The bridge showed a lot of his range, and I had to wait for that while listening to the chorus again. Other than that, I have no critiques.

Does Objectification Exist in Fan Culture?

I'm going to write this carefully. I don't want to make unfair comparisons, and every fan who interacts with and consumes media is unique. But I do think that some points need to be made. I, for one, can combine my affection for characters with my affection for the people who portray them. This could be unhealthy. Here are some examples that show the divide between imagination and reality: Somewhere in Los Angeles, Dylan O'Brien and Holland Roden rehearse a scene as Stiles and Lydia. The director yells, "Cut!" Their day on the set of Teen Wolf is over. Dylan and Holland leave the set to spend the evening with friends. Miles away in another part of LA, Chris Evans finishes a comedic scene. The director dismisses the cast and crew. Chris goes to his trailer and changes from his Captain America costume into some casual clothes. An Analysis of Chad and Sonny's Relationship in Disney's Sonny with a Chance

*I started this analysis with Season 2 of the show, so moments from Season 1 are not included. Sonny Munroe and Chad Dylan Cooper's relationship could be one of the first enemies to dating plot lines in Disney Channel TV. Chad is stuck up and selfish. Does his relationship with Sonny make him a better person? He asks her on a first date suddenly and is generally nicer once they start dating. He is nicer to her friends, though not to his costars on Mackenzie Falls . Sonny's friends tolerate their relationship, and they occasionally work with Chad to help Sonny. Sonny and Chad face pressure from friends and the media to show off their relationship to the public, including their first kiss. They decide during one episode to only be friends but then share their first kiss in private. They admit that their connection is strong and decide to continue dating. Why I Watch

This week, I'm going to reflect on why I watch the below YouTubers, movies, and television. In no particular order . . . 1) Jake Paul (YouTube): He reminds me of young men who attended the same high school as me. His energy level reminds me of their's, and he shows not only the good parts of his life but the bad parts as well. I don't know yet what I think of his new series Uncut, but I hope he uses it to encourage and help people. I think he's grown since "The Mind of Jake Paul." 2) 2000's romcoms: I like happy endings. But seriously, modern takes on fairy tales (and original stories) can be very fun and encouraging. Take this quote from A Cinderella Story , for example: “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.” They can take me back mentally to a simpler time.
