Review of One Direction's Made in the A.M.

You might as well call today "Fangirl Friday." Both One Direction and Justin Bieber's albums are on sale now, which means another album review for me. Without further ado, here is One Direction's Made in the A.M.
Hey Angel- The boys want to be more like an angel and wonder what he or she thinks. Heaven may be a theme in this song, but it is not explicit.
Drag Me Down- Ever since this song was released back in July, some people think it refers to the departure of Zayn. Nevertheless, it is the boys' way of saying that they are here to stay. For now. It has more of a hard rock feel than most of the album.
Perfect- Is it about Louis and Harry or Harry and Taylor? No one really knows. This song details a temporary relationship. Think what you want about that one.
Infinity- This is a break-up song. It would take forever to heal their hearts.
End of the Day- This song switches the beat at the chorus, making it interesting for the listener. The narrator (sorry, English major here) ended up in the hospital, and he thinks it is because of his girl.
If I Could Fly- This is one of a few ballads on the album. He only lets her see his heart.
Long Way Down- Another breakup song. He struggles to forgive but she hurt him.
Never Enough- Whatever time is spent with her, he always needs more.
Olivia- He doesn't want her to leave. I found a melodic and lyrical reference to "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
What a Feeling- He wants her to be with him and hopes it isn't too late.
Love You Goodbye- One of the nice things about One Direction releasing a few of the songs early is that they uploaded some videos of the guys talking about the meaning of the songs. According to Louis, it is about the pain of seeing an ex again, which I think implies that it is about his relationship with his former girlfriend Eleanor. This is the "You and I" of this album. Louis sings the bridge. He has been criticized for not having the best voice of the group, but he puts it to good use on this song.
I Want to Write You a Song- This is the "Little Things" of this album. Louis takes the chorus for most of the song.
History- This song has a blues feel to it. According to Louis, this is for the fans and the people who have been on the road with the band throughout their tours.
Temporary Fix- According to Niall, this song is about wanting to cheer up a girl who isn't having a good time. Skip this one because of innuendos.
Walking in the Wind- This song details a breakup but he believes that she'll find him anywhere she wants to. He does not think it is the end.
Wolves- He fights others who try to take her from him. This song has a playful vibe despite addressing a potentially serious subject.
A.M.- They enjoy staying up late and the conversations that come from that. Skip this one because of a swear word in the chorus.
Thanks for reading!
